  Stephen’s Ministry

Stephen's Ministry is a program of the church that equips lay persons to provide distinctively Christian one-to-one care to those who are experiencing all kinds of life needs and circumstances, both in our church family and community.

Stephen Ministers are committed Christian people who:
· express God's care through their lives to others;
· receive 50 hours of initial training in important caring

   ministry skills and concepts;
· participate in regular support and supervision under the

   guidance of trained Stephen Leaders;
· are committed to preserving the confidential nature of the

   caring relationship;
· receive continuing education and skill building throughout

   their years of service;
· serve for at least two years;
· visit another person regularly and dependably and offer

   Christian support and care.

There are times when each of us needs the care of another person, a Christian friend, a Stephen Minister. Maybe you are feeling overwhelmed, bereaved, or ill. Perhaps you are new to the area, have recently divorced, or are facing a life transition. Stephen Ministers can be available for you ... to care and share with you. Stephen Ministry is a confidential ministry: those receiving care can be sure that their identity and what goes on in the caring relationship will remain private.

If you are interested in becoming a Stephen Minister or if you are in need of a Stephen Minister please contact the Care Pastor.

HealthMinistry
  Health Ministry
The Health Ministry is part of the Southwest Ohio Health Ministry association, a network of 55 churches who meet monthly to support and grow our individual health ministries. At Tipp City, we are a group of health professionals and lay people who provide outreach health programs to touch the physical, emotional and spiritual health of the church family. We currently offer blood pressure screenings every Wed. night during the community dinners. We have provided CPR training, offered speakers on various health topics, maintain a bulletin board in the Gathering Area with local health screenings and other pertinent health information and write a health related article for the monthly Epistle. If you would be interested in this ministry, please contact the Care Pastor.

  Food With Love
Food With Love is the name of our Wednesday evening meal delivery ministry. It began in 2005 as an outreach service from one of the church's Life Groups. The ministry is based on the scripture found in Matthew 25:35: "For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat;" and Romans 12:13: "Share with God's people who are in need. Practice hospitality." It has expanded into a team of people whose spiritual gifts of mercy, compassion, and hospitality are shown weekly through their service of delivering not only meals but Christ's love to all those they encounter. Our Flower Ministry comes alongside of this ministry and provides a bouquet of flowers to our meal recipients as well. This ministry continues to grow and welcomes anyone who is interested in helping. Meals are delivered from September through April and are available for those who are home-bound, have recently come home from the hospital, or if you are a care giver. There is no charge or obligation for the meal. If you are associated with the church family and have a need please contact the Care Pastor.

TransportationMinistry
  Transportation Ministry
The Transportation Ministry grew from a request of one of our church family members needing help getting to dialysis treatments, to assisting anyone within the church who needs to be driven to a doctor's appointment or any health-related errand in the Tipp City/ Dayton area. A group of volunteers have provided the church with their name and phone number and a coordinator maintains the list of drivers. If a need arises for transportation please call or stop by the church office to receive the list. You are responsible to find your own driver. A few days notice is appreciated for scheduling. If you would like to be a driver, please call the church office, 667-2318.
